Our predecessor Company has completed, Memphis Blues, which is being edited. The film was shot as a televison pilot for a proposed series, using the well know musical heritage of Beale Street in Memphis.
As Memphis Indie Films completes this project, we are interviewing talent, crew members and scouting locations for a feature film combining blues music and voodoo culture in a drama/horror genre.
We believe the South is rich with writers and stories. Memphis Indie Films will continue to review a variety of projects for possible development. We anticipate producing a series of four horror films.
The Company is interested in reviewing scripts and treatments for feature length films. The Submissions Process must begin with a writer or agent sending a query letter to Memphis Indie Films. (see contact page). The query letter should describe the proposed film and be accompanied by a treatment not to exceed 10 pages. Do not send scripts until you have been asked to do so.
The submission must include a copyright statement of ownership along with full name, address and telephone number of the writer or agent. We recommend writers register each project with the Writer's Guild of America at www.wga.org
